Are the content of Wine Maniac available in multi-languages ?2021-11-29T14:55:39+01:00

All the tasting notes will be produced in both English and Chinese. There may be a short time lag between the availability of the two language notes due to translation logistics and technical issues.

All regional reports and other articles will be available in Chinese, and some of them will be translated to English. In the future, we will likely translate most of the contents into English.

To avoid the risk of “lost in translation”, the English version is NOT necessarily translated word by word.

Where Wine Maniac is based?2021-10-11T14:00:17+02:00

Wine Maniacs has sister companies established, both in China and France. CEO of WM companies, Lin Liu is based in France and travels to China and other wine producing countries quite regularly.

Content contributors of WM are from different countries / regions, being native speakers of Mandarin and speaking at least one foreign language (usually English, French, Italian, or Spanish).

What are the major differences of Wine Maniacs, compared to a traditional wine critic platform?2021-11-24T15:51:42+01:00

It is the biggest Wine content provider available in both Chinese and English languages, contributed by a group of highly trained wine professionals with their roots in China.

All translators (Chinese to English) or English editors are also highly experienced wine professionals.

All tasting notes posted on WM will be available to consumers free of charge. Most wine critic platforms charge a fee for their detailed tasting notes.

Note: professional usage by any trade party will have to pay for the intellectual property.

WM Tasting notes will provide context about a wine’s drinkability, drinking window and sometimes when to consume the wine and food pairing ideas, aiming for a more interactive way to communicate about wine, rather than one directional, didactic approach.
